Scanner part to the service entrance
The situation
A regional hospital needed a replacement cooling assembly for a CT scanner delivered overnight after its imaging department experienced an equipment failure. The component was located at a distributor two states away, and the hospital contacted BMA Express to arrange transportation, with elective imaging appointments already being pushed to the following day.
What we did
BMA Express assigned a straight truck rather than a smaller vehicle, since the assembly needed to travel on a shock-dampened pallet and the distributor's warehouse crew wanted a liftgate for loading. Dispatch called the hospital's facilities office directly to confirm which dock the equipment needed to go to: not the main receiving dock, but a smaller service entrance closer to imaging, a detail that wouldn't have been obvious without asking.
The pickup ran later than the original estimate because the distributor's crew needed extra time to properly secure the assembly for transit. Dispatch passed that revised ETA to the hospital rather than let it show up as a surprise, and checked in again as the truck got close so security could have someone ready at the service entrance.
The result
The component reached the service entrance early that morning. The hospital confirmed receipt before the start of the morning imaging schedule.
