The smallest dedicated vehicle we run, and the one that goes where the others cannot. Tight urban docks, downtown addresses, parking structures, loading zones with a height bar.

Typical freight
Urgent parts, samples, small crates, documents, tooling, a single skid.
Best distance
Local and regional runs where speed off the mark matters more than capacity.
Common industries
Manufacturing, healthcare, aerospace AOG parts.
When not to use it
Anything on a standard pallet that needs a forklift, or freight over 3,000 lbs. A van that has to be hand-unloaded at a dock costs you the time it saved.
Sprinter Van

Sprinter Van

Up to 4,000 lbs

The workhorse of expedited freight. Enough capacity for multi-pallet loads, small enough to dispatch in minutes and to reach addresses a straight truck cannot.

Two to three pallets, production components, mid-size hot shots, trade-show samples.
Best distance
Regional through long-haul, including overnight runs.
Common industries
Automotive, manufacturing, electronics.
When not to use it
Loads needing dock-height loading or a liftgate, and anything over 4,000 lbs.

Where pallet freight starts. Dock-height loading, enclosed deck, dedicated run.

Pallet freight, production components, trade-show cargo, retail replenishment.

Regional and long-haul.

Downtown addresses with height or access restrictions, and freight over 10,000 lbs.
Straight Truck

The heavy end of expedited. Full dedicated capacity with team drivers available, which is what turns a two-day cross-country run into a one-day one.

Heavy freight requiring dedicated recovery and direct delivery, multi-pallet production loads, freight that cannot be handled twice.
Best distance
Any, including non-stop cross-country with team drivers.
Common industries
Automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing.
When not to use it
Restricted-access delivery points, and anything small enough that a van gets there sooner for less.

Which equipment should I choose?

  • Under 3,000 lbs, no pallets, tight access? Cargo van
  • Two or three pallets, needs to move now? Sprinter van

  • Over 10,000 lbs, or a long lane overnight? Straight truck with team drivers

It is decided by three things: total weight, the largest single piece, and whether the delivery point has a dock. Under 3,000 lbs with no pallets, a cargo van. Two or three pallets, a sprinter. Pallet freight needing dock-height loading, a box truck. Over 10,000 lbs or a long lane, a straight truck. Send the numbers and we will confirm it in one call.

Capacity and reach. A cargo van tops out around 3,000 lbs and gets into tight urban addresses. A sprinter carries up to 4,000 lbs with room for multiple pallets and is the usual choice for regional and overnight expedited runs.
